GenderPAC At-a-Glance

The Gender Public Advocacy Coalition works to ensure that classrooms, communities, and workplaces are safe for every person to learn, grow and succeed, whether or not they fit expectations for masculinity or femininity.

As a human rights organization, GenderPAC also promotes an understanding of the connection between discrimination based on gender stereotypes and sex, sexual orientation, age, race, and class.

Incorporated in 1999, GenderPAC is an IRS §501(c)3 non-profit.

Welcome from Riki Wilchins, Executive Director

Dear Friend -

Thanks for visiting our website, gpac.org. This is a great place to get the latest news, events and support on the struggle to end discrimination and violence caused by gender stereotypes.

First and foremost, please take a moment to check out our GenderYOUTH Leadership Summit, held each May in Washington, DC. More than 1,500 activists from 78 non-profit groups, 74 colleges and 36 states joined us last year, and we'd like you to be one of them this year!

While you're here, our Workplace Fairness page can catch you up on the latest developments in ending job discrimination based on gender stereotypes. On the Violence Prevention page, you'll can see what's happening in gender-based hate crimes and find tips on making your community safer from gender-based violence. On the GenderYOUTH Page, you can check out our developing partnerships with college youth to prevent high school bullying.

You can read all the latest gender news and developments -- national, regional, and local -- on our National News page.

And please: visit our Membership Center and join the struggle to end discrimination and violence caused by gender stereotypes if you're not already a member. GenderPAC membership starts as low as $35/yr, and monthly sustaining donor programs as low as $20/mo. It's fully tax deductible, and it's your financial support that enables us to continue doing this important work.

Thank you for visiting gpac.org. We hope you'll find all the resources you need, and that you'll come back often!
