The GenderYOUTH Network empowers youth leaders to build safer classrooms and communities where all youth can learn, grow and succeed, whether or not they conform to expectations for masculinity and femininity.



Recent Accomplishments
GenderYOUTH activists at Guilford College lead successful bid to expand non-discrimination policy to include "gender identity and expression."
Published 2007 GENIUS Index -- documenting 147 colleges and universities with inclusive non-discrimination policies.
New Resource! 2007 GENIUS Action Tool-Kit a companion piece to the GENIUS Index on expanding school policies to be inclusive of gender identity and expression.
New Resource! Beyond Identity: Human Rights and the Politics of Gender
Published Winter 2007-2008 GenderYOUTH Newsletter
Brought more than 250 community youth, parents, and educators together in North Lawndale (Chicago) with Talib Kweli and community leaders to strategize best ways to challenge messages of homophobia, hyper-masculinity and misogyny in hip-hop.
