Leadership Institute

The Leadership Institute empowers youth leaders to build their knowledge on various issues relating to gender, advance their activism skills, and network with gender rights activists from across the country. Join other academics and activists in workshops about gender stereotypes, gender and race in hip-hop, the emerging US human rights movements, adding gender identity and expression to a schools non-discrimination policy.

The Leadership Institute is an opportunity for youth to receive training to start a GenderYOUTH chapter or affiliate an existing campus or community organization with the GenderYOUTH Network to end gender-based violence and discrimination.

The Leadership Institute features a keynote address by Loretta Ross, Co-Founder, SisterSONG Women of Color Reproductive Health Collective; Founder, National Center for Human Rights Education.

Workshop descriptions and presenters to be posted.
