The Gender Theory Institute is an exciting opportunity to engage in in-depth and thorough conversations with noted academics and activists about the complicated theories of gender, race, class and sex. Choose from a program of 2 hour independent seminars where participants can better understand the depth and range of gender, queer, critical race, and feminist theory. Institute will notable academics and activists such as Beverly Guy-Sheftall, Natalie Hopkinson, Patricia Ireland, Michael Kimmel, Carmen Vasquez, Riki Wilchins, and more!

Only youth and students can attend the GenderYOUTH Activist Training on Saturday. We define "youth" as anyone under the age of 25. Exceptions can be made for faculty advisors and administrators of college and youth organizations only. Exceptions will be made on a case by case basis by GenderYOUTH staff. Trainings may NOT be recorded with either a video camera or tape recorder —no exceptions! Press and other media outlets may NOT attend. Interviews with a GenderYOUTH staff member and/or youth leaders may be scheduled at a separate time.
CANCELLATION POLICY -- PLEASE READ: Refunds on conference registration will be given on a case-to-case basis only. Scholarships are non-refundable - NO EXCEPTIONS. Requests for refunds must be received in writing by April 15th. There will be a $25 administrative fee for all refunds. Any refunds granted will be sent no later than December 2007.
